- Have all five original members of BSB since 2006; Kevin Richardson left the group that year to focus on his personal life and pursue other interests. He rejoined the 20-year old vocal harmony group last year (2012)!
- Be released independently. Backstreet left the now-defunct Jive Records in 2010.
- Have a lead single produced by Max Martin for the first time since 2000; he created the group's signature lead singles, such as "I Want It That Way" and "Shape of My Heart". That lead single for this album is the title track, "In a World Like This".

This remix by Adrian "Impala" Mata adds a disco-esque vibe to the original song, adding along the way an electric guitar and a strings section.
